Acupuncture and TCM therapies work by helping to rebalance the body's natural functions when
changes cause them to become less stable, or imbalanced. The five elements system involves
the holistic evaluation of the body, mind, lifestyle, stress factors, diet, age and activity levels.
Acupuncture treatment has no side effects, is effective for new problems, or old, longtime
conditions, and is easily integrated along with your regular GP's medical care.
Acupuncture can be used to restore health and vitality, increase well-being, improve sleep and
digestion, reduce aggravating symptoms, manage chronic pain, ease anxiety, stress and
emotional tension, addiction, increase energy levels, strengthen immune function, and help you
recover more quickly from injury, surgery, pregnancy, and illness. It is highly effective for
increasing fertility, for ageing concerns, such as symptoms of peri- and post-menopause, urinary
disorders, prostate and sexual dysfunction, alopecia, skin texture and weight management.
Acupuncture therapy works gradually, and as with other types of therapy, results are cumulative.
Significant relief can occur with just a few treatments, while other conditions will take longer to
achieve full results. Therapy requires several treatments, usually weekly, or longer for chronic
conditions.
